Korby Lenker — multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, published author, and award-winning actor — is the Renaissance man of East Nashville. His 8th studio album, Man in the Maroon made 2021’s “Best Albums of the Year” List by American Songwriter Magazine. In the writing space, his poignant collection of short stories, Medium Hero was a critical success, warmly reviewed by such variegated sources as Steve Wozniak and National Book Award-winning author Tim O’Brien, who wrote: “Korby’s keen control of narrative voice is spot-on in each of these stories — distinctive, disarming, entertaining and completely convincing.”

Korby’s latest project has been 6 years in the making. Morse Code is a scripted television series based on his life as an East Nashville indie folksinger. In November 2023, the self-financed pilot, which he co-wrote and stars, won the Audience Choice Award at the Nashville Film Festival, the People’s Choice Award at the Berlin Shorts Film Festival, and 6 nominations at the NYCTV Festival, where Korby took home Best Leading Actor.

Look for his recently finished novel, based on the TV show. And check out the Morse Code Podcast, featuring longform conversations with entrepreneurially-minded creatives in music, film and writing. A new episode of the MCP drops every Thursday on YouTube and your favorite podcasting platform.

“One of the most striking things about seeing Lenker perform is his relationship with his guitar. He doesn't just play it, he becomes it -- or, maybe, it becomes a part of him.”
